These businesses can be any kind of business from Internet Marketing to Ebay. Over and over again I continually see almost everybody making exactly the same mistake. If you get this lesson you can dramatically improve the sales of any business. This lesson is all about marketing your product or service. The first thing we must all realise is everybody does not want a “how to guide” everybody just wants the result. Suppose you have a website and you sell an eBook on how to lose weight, a good headline is “Discover how to lose 13kgs in 15 days” This headline has a measurable, specific result. A bad headline is “I will teach you how to lose 13kgs” BORING! We must also remember we all buy mostly from emotion so when you sell anything, sell it to their emotions, describe how THEY will feel when THEY use this widget. A lot of women already understand this but a lot of guys refuse to accept we all buy for emotional reasons. For you guys out there still having problems understanding “emotion is why we buy things”, let me translate it into the language of “motor vehicle”. If we all bought cars from logic we would all be driving around in 10 year old Volvo’s! Why? Because they have lost most of their depreciation and are safe! So why don’t we all drive around in 10 year old Volvo’s? We might justify to ourselves why we don’t. But ……. Don’t feel so bad, I wouldn’t drive one either…. The point is whenever you market any product or service make sure you have a headline with the following points. 1. A specific benefit (lose 13 kgs) (not a feature) 2. A measurable result (in 15 days) 3. Appeal to their emotions, tell them how they will FEEL when the use this …… Just by understanding this marketing concept you multiply the earnings of any home business. Hope this helps.
